To overcome the shortage of nurses the Texoma Health Foundation is stepping to give Texomans get proper care. They understand that there has been a decrease in qualified registered nurses. Area nursing schools say hat they need more staff so that more students can pass the National Licensing Exam.

The Texoma Health foundation approved a $150,000 grant to the school today to get full time faculties. There has also been a problem of shortage of nurses in Oklahoma and Texas. Report by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations says by 2020 there will be at least 400,000 fewer nurse available to provide care.
